about me
I graduated from the Czuczor Gergely Benedictine High School in Győr, while simultaneously pursuing my musical studies at the Richter János Secondary School of Music in Győr under the guidance of László Hoffmann and Csilla Alföldy-Boruss.
In 1999, I was admitted to both the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest and the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. My teachers in Budapest included Gábor Lehotka, István Ruppert, and János Pálúr. In 2002, I had the honor of representing the Academy at the Bach Festival in Prague, organized by the „Visegrád countries”.
From the fall of 2004, I continued my organ and early music studies at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam under the tutelage of Prof. Pieter van Dijk. During my studies in the Netherlands, I had the opportunity to play in numerous famous churches and perform on magnificent organs. I have given concerts in Austria, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Hungary, Germany, Spain, and Slovakia.
I have actively participated in several domestic and international masterclasses, studying with Zsolt Gárdonyi, István Koloss, Dick Koomans (Sweelinck and the Organ), Felix Friedrich (Organ works of Johann Ludwig Krebs), Francesco di Lernia (Musical exchange between Flanders and Italy), Gustav Leonhardt (Sweelinck and the English Virginalists), Jacques van Oortmerssen (Organ works of J.S. Bach), Ludger Lohmann (Organ works of Buxtehude and Bach), Menno van Delft (Virginal music of the 17th century), Ton Koopman (Organ and harpsichord works of Buxtehude, Händel: Organ concertos), and Edoardo Bellotti (G. Frescobaldi, improvisation).
In 2005, I won first prize at the Govert van Wijn Organ Competition in Maassluis (Groote Kerk), Netherlands. The competition was held on the famous Garrels organ, built in 1732.
In 2006, I earned my degree in organ performance and pedagogy from the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, and in 2007, after three years of study in the Netherlands, I received my second diploma from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
In 2007, I achieved third place at the VII International Schnitger Organ Competition in Alkmaar. Forty-seven organists from twenty-one countries competed in the event.
Since returning to Hungary in 2007, I have served as the organist at St. Imre Parish Church in Győr. In addition to my church service, I also perform as a chamber musician and teach at the Diocesan School for Church Musicians and the Győr Theological College as an organ instructor. Since 2007, I have been collaborating with the Collegium Musicum Jaurinense Early Music Ensemble, where I serve as „succentor”.
